EN EL CHINGA

Waves of sweet honey
bailar off the shore;
Hibiscus flowers
mark the beat
in wind where
my blood runs;
always bold, yellow sun
tinged in rojo hot, hibiscus
drenched with warm, brown skin,
liquid gold
in the waves–
More than fruit is juicy
I say.
